About The Vivid Twisted

The Vivid Twisted, founded by The Reverend E.N.Dahrkhart and former members of the Dead C Monkeys, has created a unique style and sound reaching from various genres of music. Largely influenced by metal, industrial, gothic, punk, hip hop, house, and rock, TVT delivers powerful music and deep lyrics. TVT combines industrial samples, dance beats, metal riffs, and pounding drums into a well calculated masterpiece, forging a sound of intensity and purpose. While the vocal stylings of Dahrkhart range from screaming, singing, hip-hop, growling, or the occasional nursery rhyme, his lyrical content dishes out the cold harsh realities of the world we live in and the choices we must make. For those of you who aren't familiar with The Vivid Twisted's musical progression and evolution it goes something like this......TVT started out as a primarily Metal/Hardcore sound with some keys and vocals similar to Keith Caputo (LOA) mixed with a Distrubed/ Pantera sort of growl singing thing going on. Originally, the band was a six piece band with a keyboardist and lead guitarist. As time went on and band members changed both musically and physically, TVT is now a four piece band with singer, guitarist, bassist, and drummer. With the lack of keys and an additional guitars, Dahrkhart introduced synths, samples, and other assorted grinding loops. Thus moving the band into a different direction for the future. So after all that being said, TVT is going digital in 2008 meaning it will sound more like if, "Static-X started writing punk songs with Danzig rapping in a dance club."
Does that make sense? Well stick around and witness the evolution.

Just coming off a September '07 release of their debut album, "Black & White", the band is on the last stretch of their "Twisted Terror Tour '07" and will complete the year with 65 shows played in ‘07. The current pace of the band is leading to a more dark, dance heavy, guitar driven, electronic sound with current material for the second album in the works. TVT will be relocating to New York City in 2008, to work on the future of their sound. Constant innovation will lead to ground breaking creation. TVT also plans on spreading out a new promotional campaign. For those of you interested in helping out throw us a line at tvt5music@aol.com. We will be covering NY City Metro, North & Central New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania. We plan on making 2008 a bigger and better year and we would like to thank the fans, the bands we have met and played with, the promoters that we have worked with, and the clubs and bars we have played in. Without all of these people this would not have been such a successful year. I feel the underground music scene in NJ re-emerging and all of the hard working bands coming out and playing shows to crowded or empty rooms and ’08 will be a good year for original music and the local music scene. Support Your Local Artists. Get off your computers and mingle with some real life people at a great show. LIVE!!!
