Hesperus, Co-August 15, 2007. All band's are driven by a certain drumbeat, and that drumbeat doesn't always just come from the drummer, as is the situation with the very young and talented King's 4 band, or TK4. The King’s 4 consists of four siblings whose main purpose for becoming a band was to praise and worship God through music.
Leo, the drummer and only boy in the TK4 band, thoroughly proclaims that the dream in TK4's heart and the heartbeat of their band, comes from God.
"We wouldn't be a band without Him, He's everything TK4 is, everything this band wants to be," said Leo.
This young Christian Rock band is made up entirely of siblings, ranging from 18 down to 10, and are very passionate in the music they play and the words they sing.
"TK4 has very few songs that don't mention God in them, and of the few that don't mention His name, only one is not entirely about Him, but still connects to Him in a definite way," said Amy, the oldest member of TK4.
The King's 4 band hopes to bring more people to God and show them how truly great God's love is. Rose, the youngest member of TK4 at the age of ten, wants to let other young people know that age doesn't have to stand in the way of a dream, the dream just needs to be pursued.
"When TK4 first began, I was afraid I would be left behind, because of my age, but now I am the keyboard player. I still have lots to learn, but I believe that God will give me the strength and knowledge to be his messenger through TK4's music," said Rose.
After recording their latest CD, "Christening," TK4 felt their dream really coming alive.
"At our first concert, we were so nervous, but as soon as we were done playing, we were stunned. TK4 got a standing ovation, and people were clapping all over. It was like God had gone through us and touched the crowd. In fact, I believe that's exactly what he did," said Amanda.
TK4 has been reviewed by people all over the world; from Wales to Greece, and even from Australia .
“I enjoyed your music very much. Your message is strong and love how you get it out,” said Leo D from Greece.
One of these day's, TK4 may be seen in a town near you, and you will see how much God has truly blessed this young band of siblings.
