About Guido
Born in Chula Vista (San Diego) CA. Guido's ethnicity is of Spanish decent with strong French & Native American ties. He has lived in many states and foreign countries growing up giving him an open mind when it comes to the culture of music.
Guido is the Vice President of Prolifik Records A&R Division, which is an Indie label formed by One Up and himself. Based out of Wichita, KS they have worked with top notch artists from across the globe. Guido even has had beats in which he had produced featured on a DJ Khaled mix-tape.
Guido has been creating hip-hop since age 9 or so. He started with a friend and a tape recorder. Guido developed his skills with help and guidance from his uncle, (Ray Syfe of The Flood). Known primarily as a freestyle emcee and a battle rapper in the streets earned Guido several opportunities to demonstrate those skills. He put them to work on local riff-raff in battles and on Power 93.9. For about a month as he held the title of Friday Night Freestyle Champ. but being censored to death wasn't his idea of truly spittin.,
As time passes so does creative aspects and ambitions. Tired of the same old crap being pushed by the major label A&R's, Guido decided to step in and contribute his art to the actual hip-hop culture itself. He did so with the hopes of diversifying a bland market of ignorance and conformity by offering substance & a sense of individualism within the music that Guido creates. |
