Beaver Creek Inn 2392 E Highway 150 in Kamas, UT 435-783-6244 Thursday, December 06, 2007 Our one Year anniversary! We wish to say thanks to all those who have supported us over the past year. Just a few people we'd like to thank are Lisa Henrie and Ed Hansen, Darren and Elliot at the Filling Station, Cody at the Copper King, our agent Ruth Orr, our growing fan base, and most of all our families for supporting our dreams!! Thanks!! Scott and Wes October 16, 2007 - GEO LEARNING @ the Salt Palace The audience at the Salt Palace last night was amazing! John helped us out by getting us a big old stage cause we planned on having all kinds of people on stage singing and playing with us. First Onna from Dallas got on stage and did some AWESOME harmony. Then her husband got on stage and played drums like a pro! I tell you these people know how to sing! Joyce got up and belted out some tunes and the conference trainers got up and sang with us as well. We would especially like to thank Tracie Hugley who is the marketing coordinator for GEO LEARNING. Tracie was a pleasure to work with and we did our best to try to embarrass her by getting her on stage. Thanks to Angie Talbott and Michelle Orsinger for making it happen. ~Scott Wyoming Downs Chooses Monrovia to kick off thier new Summer Concert Series Monrovia was recently contacted by Wyoming Downs and asked to kick off thier summer concert series at the race track. Monrovia is scheduled to play from 4:30 to 6:30 Aug. 18th for more information see the Wyoming Downs Website Friday June 8th, 2007 - Relay For Life Wes and I were invited to play the opening of “Relay for Life” for the American Cancer Society in West Valley City tonight. This event raised over thirty thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society. We were honored to be asked to play for this event. My father is a cancer survivor and this event celebrates survivors and what they have endured. Unfortunately as I know all too well that many afflicted with cancer will not make it. We will continue to put our music behind the race for a cure. Scott The Copper King 4-27-07 It was great to have Wes back from his week long “Poison tour”. He’s humble so he won’t talk too much about it. He was rockin last night!! Thanks to all our faithful friends that come to see us on Wednesday nights at the Copper King. This is a club run by our good friend Cody that is truly a treat for customers and us as well. If you haven’t checked us out yet there on a Wednesday night I can tell you this is the place to be. Its kind of like “Cheers” without the censors and without the high prices.and never a cover charge!! We’re looking forward to seeing you guys there next Wednesday. We are heading out to Pinedale, Wyoming tomorrow for a couple of shows. For you guys that asked to hear some of our original material last night; a HUGE thanks!! See you soon! Scott What a beautiful night! 3-25-07 Thanks to everyone last night who helped us raise well over one thousand dollars for cancer research. The American Cancer Society was on hand and we were able to happily donate a substantial amount of money with the help of our friends, families, and local businesses. As you may know; each band member has lost a close family member to this disease. We truly appreciate your support!! Thanks, Scott Cancer Research Benefit Monrovia is a small suburb about 45 minutes Northwest of Washington DC. Monrovia is also considered a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. I am originally from Maryland and I last visited my Mother in Monrovia, Maryland in February of 2006. Six weeks later my Mother was gone; taken from my family and her loving husband Jack by breast cancer. My last fond memories of her will always be playing my acoustic guitar and singing to her while she sang along…..and seeing her smile through the pain. My Mother Margaret Ann absolutely loved music, and as early as I could remember she encouraged me to sing. I am not naïve enough to think that we can find a cure for cancer tomorrow but if we can get an inch closer to a cure maybe someone down the line will be spared the pain of losing a loved one. My good friend Darren Lewis at the Filling Station in Magna, Utah has offered his venue on Saturday March 24th to help raise money for breast cancer awareness. We will be selling raffle tickets for $3 and all proceeds will go to cancer research. Please come out and see the show on March 24th, 2007 8:30 pm at the Filling Station in Magna and help us make a difference. Thanks, ~Scott February 9th and 10th- The Filling Station- Magna, What a great weekend; we were fortunate to have a great crowd both nights. Friday night we had several friends from the Magna and Northwest branches of the post office come out. Thanks so much for coming out and supporting us!! Look for your photos on our web site!! We have been extremely lucky to enjoy some success relatively quickly. Wes and Ric have really stepped up and provided us with great harmonies and we'll keep working hard to provide you with great music and great times to remember. You could really feel the energy Saturday night. It was standing room only and we got a few people up on stage with us......We will be in Clearfield this weekend at Bogey's; if it is half as fun as the Filling Station it will be a great time!! ~Scott An article from the Magna Chamber of Commerce Newsletter Release Date: January 29th 2007 Local Band 'Monrovia' Goes Live on the Web Congratulations to Monrovia on their new web site and success.
