Origin of a name

The #1 question we get is where name In Ovo comes from. It's from the book Imajica, by Clive Barker. Here's the best way to describe it.

The world know as the Imajica is comprised of five dominions. The first four are reconciled, which means you can pass freely from one to the other (like crossing a state line). The fifth dominion, Earth, is unreconciled, which means it's seperated from the other four. To cross from the Fifth into the reconciled dominions, or vise versa, it requires knowledge, power, magic, and the belief that there really is more to the world than what you see every day. Now...here's the catch...to cross into the dominions, you have to pass through the In Ovo. It's a wasteland between Earth and the rest of the Imajica. While it takes a lot of knowledge and power to make the trip, it takes a lot more to survive the In Ovo. It's inhabited by the most vile, dangerous, uncontrollable creatures (called Oviates) anyone could imagine. In other words...not the kind of place to build a summer home!

That's it in a nutshell. If I've peaked any curiosity, I HIGHLY recommend reading the book. It's a mammoth undertaking (842 pages), but well worth it.
