**On August 13th the No Question Captain (D.R.Universal) was booked to do a show at the famous Greene Street Club in downtown Greensboro, NC. R&B singer Jeremy Johnson was giving his album release concert and wanted D.R.Universal to be the Featured Hip-Hop act on the bill that included soul bands, vocalists, dancers and comedians.

**Several local radio, tv and newspaper people were in the building and all of them commented to NQMG CEO Kevan on how much they enjoyed the performance. If you missed it then click the links for show footage.

That’s right..the Captain of the No Question Movement D.R.Universal has just released his debut album entitled: Universally Yours…Check out the page for the lead single ‘‘I Remember When’’. Some are calling it an instant underground classic!



This classic piece of hip-hop material is guaranteed to take you back to the era when lyrics ruled and quality or music was important. You first heard D.R.Universal on last summer’s smash mixtape: DJ Prince Sci presents Armageddon, then again he brought the heat on his own mixtape: Da Return Pt.1 and the NQMG Sampler Compilation only gave the streets more reason to fiend for D.R.U’s music. His use of metaphors is top notch and his smooth but powerful delivery is sure to soothe any ear and bring the listener into his world.

We GO HARD at Promotion!!

To promote my music and the other artists on No Question Music Group we use a variety of methods. Of course the Internet helps you reach more consumers but you have to utilize the right sites in order to have effective promotion. We have artist sites on over 20 of the most popular music websites with artist bios, pictures, slideshows, music, etc. We make sure that all material is Current and sites stay up to date.

Also we use promo cards and flyers that we pass out at hip hop spots and record stores across Charlotte and the Carolinas. These cards can be artist specific if one of our artists has a project coming out..or they can be generic promo cards listing some of the sites our music is on or just about NQMG in general. These promo cards are good for when an artist has a show coming up because we can promote the artists show and the venue as well.

Lastly there is the old fashioned word of mouth. This cannot be done by just telling someone that you are hot! What we do is pass out FREE MUSIC wherever we go..this increase the artist and label name recognition. Whether its a free mixtape or a 4 song sampler, there is always something given away free from NQMG! We pass out promotional pens, calendars, magnets, notepads or anything we can get our logo and company name on.

But really as an artist if you want to promote yourself the BEST method is....DO SHOWS!!! I try to perform ANY and EVERYWHERE I can! If someone sees you rock the stage live..thats the best promotion you can have because that person will tell the next person and so on and so on...That person becomes a fan and will support you and promote your music to the people in their circle..

Damn!! I know I gave away some good a$$ promotional methods but hey...I'm not selfish and I want to see everybody shine!! Lord knows its enough money in this game for all of us to EAT!!
