Gwar Car | |

cool website: http:// Listening to: the sound a tree falling in the forest makes when no-one is there to hear it Podcast enclosure: Gwar Car 2008-04-07 Well, I'd have to say having a drummer is really helping us tighten up our shiz. Hello 911 is sounding great - chock full of drumming goodness and a shredding lead. We have a few new songs that we're working on that we hope to record and post soon: From the Beginning (which you can find as a concept song right now!), Anhedonia and Gwar Car. Just like their names, each song further demonstrates our wide range of sounds. Keep checking back!Click to Comment Tags:

Groovin' Paradoxical | |
|
cool website: http:// Listening to: Cyqo Music Hour #4 Podcast enclosure: Groovin' Paradoxical 2008-02-11 Doc B has been on an interesting journey this past 9 months. Its conception began with inspiration from an evil ex girlfriend who started with good intentions. She drove this one-man-band show to the internet. Where, within a few months of recording some old and new material, Cyqo enthusiasts found us on Myspace, made us a page on Cyqo and gave us control. We were topping the charts then, with playlist adds and pageviews galore. Then the evil ex girlfriend decided she would ditch the effort and stopped promoting the Doctor -- not to mention the other things she stopped doing. Well, this baby is just starting to get kicking! We have had some crazy troubles getting ourselves organized. Our efforts to record new material has fallen waste due to technical complications that skate on the edge of the aether. However, we've sorted a few out, and found a few new ones. We've learned lots about each other and what we want through the process though. Band Camp is our new homework and we plan to leverage it to its fullest extent. Recording is a PAIN IN THE ASS!! I wish it were simple and I wish the Martian, Gonads and I were all millionaires who can afford a comfy air-conditioned $100/hour studio -- but we're not and we can't. So we spend a few bens every month or so to build up our technical gear and tweak our capabilities to put out new shiz. We're still working out the kinks. Soon, you'll be adding new songs from Dr. B to your playlist because the shit we're working on flippin rocks. -drb Click to Comment Tags:

It's been some time since you've had so many things to say. I know our lives have crossed before in very similar ways. Let's go together to the end of days. CHORUS All the hills can run and hide Behind their lives of color blind them Their own eyes are burning white with Bright dis-paring cries above the Height of caring (repeat) BRIDGE George Bush!t babbling about some BS CHORUS All the hills can run and hide Behind their lives of color blind them Their own eyes are burning white with Bright dis-paring cries above the Height of caring Click to Comment Tags:
From the Beginning | |
|
cool website: http:// Listening to: Podcast enclosure: From the Beginning 2008-01-25 The new song is still a work in progress. We've recently laid down a new track which includes drums. We've been having some trouble with the microphone being too hot and picking up sounds from that track in headphones when laying down vocals. We're also having some issues with the rocking electric guitar part that to me makes the song whole. For those of you who have added From the Beginning to your playlists, we will eventually post the final cut and delete the one that starts with "Concept - ". We'll let you know when we do.Doc Boggs is starting to take shape! I know many of you are curious to know where the name came from; but for now, you'll have to settle with the names of the permanent members: Alexander Goens is the genius behind the highly instrumental take of "I Can't Stay". He and I have played for nearly the past decade. To this day, I haven't found a guitarist as gifted as Alex who can meld as well with my style, and I with his. Every time we sit down and jam, something new is produced. Marvin Pineda is our personal 4-track recorder. He's been jamming with us nearly as long and hasn't missed a single riff. He will resurrect ideas that are half-decades old, inspiring us to work on them and create new material from them. He is the rhythm guitarist behind "From the Beginning" I am Daniel Raeder. Most of what you hear right now on this site is material I've decided to record within the past 8 months. Some of what you hear includes sit-in musicians such as Stephen Wood on "Sad, Sad Songs", but for the most part, these are original singer/songwriter recordings. This will be changing in the next couple months now that Doc Boggs is back together with its Milwaukee roots. Stay tuned for more! Rock on! Click to Comment Tags:

The drummer hasn't panned out yet.. However, we're making and recording new music anyway. Check out the concept song, "From the Beginning" when you have a chance and let us know what you think!Click to Comment Tags:
Semblence of a band | |
|
cool website: http:// Listening to: Podcast enclosure: Semblence of a band 2008-01-11 With the recent loss of my job, I've moved from Madison back to Milwaukee where my music has its roots. Fortunately, my friend Alex (the musical genius behind "I Can't Stay") was still out and about making contacts with other musical gurus.Few of you know this, but all the music I have posted here is a one-man-band effort. The missed beats, the lack of a tight bass line, the unusual lead-work is all the product of my impatience while I sat behind a computer desk a midi keyboard and a cardioid capacitor microphone. In the past day or so, I had the fortitude to encounter something I always found absent from my musical endeavors: a drummer. This turn of events inspired Alex and me to seriously consider forming a real band. All of the music on this page will be re-done and re-recorded in due time to include the musical stylings of Alex, the new drummer and who knows -- maybe some new great talent. With that, the band name may be changing. I fully intend to capitalize on the name recognition already established with "Dr. Boggles", but some minor alterations could take shape (think - "Doc Boggs"). Any suggestions on a new name? Feel free to drop me a message or leave a comment! Click to Comment Tags:
