About Lobotomy
We are a duo from the depths of New Jersey. We play a mixture of Metal/Punk/Blues. We have been together for around 10 years. We generally record for ourselves, and hope other people like it also. I they don't, oh well. We generally don't play out, due to our hectic schedules, but do venture out when possible to check out other bands. Our favorite haunt is the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ. If you're ever near there check it out.
Our influeneces include everything from The Misfits, Black Flag, Sex Pistols, Anthrax, Metallica, Cro-mags to Johnny Cash, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Brian Setzer. We think we have a very distinct sound, and are known for having "out there" lyrics. This is what happens when you live your entire life in the "garden(toxic)state". Most of our songs are politically charged, although we do like to do an occassional off beat amusing bantor.
B.K. Simmons plays lead and rhythym guitars. He also sings lead and back-up vocals.
Ray "Madman" Schwab plays percussion, keyboards and bass. He also sings lead and back up vocals.
We started recording on a tape 4 track, and currently record on a Mac. Alot of the songs here are digitized versions of our tape 4 track recordings. Enjoy, and let us know what you think. |
