About LBG
LBG consisting of 3 brothers (Arjun, Avneet & Aum Janakiram)& Praveen Hiendrich formed in 1999 formed to play only originals in a cover dominated country and make a difference in the Indian Rock Scene. Although the struggle was difficult at first the support soon grew and younger bands all over the India started to do the same... 4 years after the band was formed and after composing over 40 songs LBG decide it was time to hit the studios
In 2004 LBG released their first record titled :this Animal is called the wallet" feat. 16 songs which was well recd. Although it was highly critized for many reasons (Such as recording quality & simplicity) by music critics, the fans were not let down. LBG sold over 1000 copies to Fans from all over the world through Live performances & underground distribution companies.
In 2006, The band LBG releases its second offering 'Bad Children' this November 18th with a special launch performance at Distil, Taj Connemara. The 11 song full length album (short listed from over 25 songs) was a culmination of over 2 years of song writing, dedication and hard work. The Album was recorded over a 3 month period with the band taking time to reflect over the material and making the appropriate adjustments to bring their vision of a quintessential Indian rock album to reality. The band believes, as it did when it released its first album in 2004, that the songs reflect a certain state of mind as well aspirations, fears and hopes for the future.
Tempered with a fair amount aggression and well rounded instrumentation, the album sees its members pushing the envelope in terms of what is normally considered "an Indian rock album". It has also shot a video for "Basics of Life" that premiered at Distil(Taj Connemara, Chennai)
"Bad Children" is a personification of the rebellious tone of the compilation and the band's journey & adventure on the 'road less traveled'
After 2 years of Gigging to promote the Album the band is now back to song writing getting ready for their 3rd album which should be out Mid 2008 |
