Etcetera is a 24 yr old artist residing in Joliet, Illinois. He has been writing and rapping since the age of fourteen in which time he has progressed and only gotten better. His style would best be described as underground hip hop. However, it ranges from deep thinking, thought provoking concepts to tongue twisters to your catchy club banger, etc... Born in Chicago, IL, His mother had her struggles and moved him, his brother, and sister to Romeoville, IL and then to Bolingbrook, to Joliet. He discovered his talent for writing in middle school, where he was told to go into the journalism profession. In high school, at the age of fourteen, he chose to go the less-traveled route and chose to go with music. He first picked up a pen and wrote a song when asked to be in a more rockish-Rage Against the Machine type of band. He chose not to do that but to start rapping because it let him express himself as he wanted to be expressed. He listens to a lot of music from various artists and genre and takes each one as "Learning Material' to become a better artist. Choosing the name Etcetera because it allows listeners to know that they don't know what they're gonna hear when they're listening to an artist named Etcetera. He has done many songs with various local artist from the area in which he lives. He works with many people ranging from producers to lyricists to promoters, etc. He has performed in different cities with a number of various groups from The Barn in Oak Brook IL, a variety of open mics in Chicago, IL, and a show with many underground artists collaborating in Windsor, Canada. He has been in a talent show conducted by that All-Star Talent Network in Chicago. He has been on the ninja show on CANTV and is set to be on it consistently over time. Striving for the best could easily describe him as a person, with that hungry "I'm gonna go get 'em" attitude and a personable personality that makes him easy to work with. And that is exactly what he does...work!
