About DIESEL
DIESEL started with Guitarist and Vocalist Henry Bishop meeting with Bassist Tony Grant and Scott Quinn on the Keyboard. They decided to do a few covers of classics including Van Morrison's Moondance, and Cream's White Room gradually introducing their own material. Henry wrote (Hey) Standing at the platform and Beautiful Memory and the other two added their magic to the songs. In one of the many acoustic jam sessions, in walked Hannah Wood who was taken completely by surprise by what she heard and no sooner had they put down their instruments, she asked if she could be a part of the band. When someone with Hannah's voice and personaility asks to be in your band, you do not say no! Now with Hannah as DIESEL's Lead Singer, they are rehearsing every Sunday at Bishop Manor and with that woman's touch, they are broadening their sound and material. Hannah encouraged the band to re-try California Dreaming by the Momas & The Papas and it has become a permenant song on their set list. They have also done covers of Coldplay's The Scientist, Feeling Good by Muse and Michael Jackson's Billy Jean. Ross Quinn joined as DIESEL's Drummer and immedietely the other four were astounded by his ability. Ross is 11 and is phenomenal, bringing an amazing spark from the word 'go'. Currently, DIESEL are rapidly writing songs and developing a set list which is made up entirely of their own music. Since Hannah and Ross joined the band, they are working hard on two songs written by Henry: Clocking Out and Dying Day and Stop & Stare by Hannah. Scott is in the drawing board stage of writing Cry No More. Henry and Hannah have also been working on two more acoustic songs: Something's Changed and What I am. DIESEL are also working with Spanish guitarist Eduardo Niebla on a song called Fire which is being submitted to the 2012 Olympic Committee! WATCH THIS SPACE! |
