About Deemed Psychotic

Releases available on iTunes
'The 1st'
Deemed Psychotic - The 1st

Deemed Psychotic was formed by the sister-brother team of Kylyra and Tor from Dark World International. The pair went slightly insane being exposed to nothing but trad music for far too long & headed into the studio to get it out of their systems. What emerged was a dynamic hard rock sound that's been rolling through the Irish countryside ever since.

Heavily influenced by the Canadian progressive sound (RUSH, Heart) they built a solid rhythm guitar section, added a thumping bass & dancing keys to create Deemed Psychotic. Kylyra's incredibly strong and searing vocals are brilliantly offset by Tor's gravelly growl.

The band's first release, titled 'The 1st' is available on iTunes. Available here is The Kids of Tody, a new song from the '2nd Take' sessions, free to our fans. '2nd Take' is the 11 track new release from Deemed Psychotic. The band is in the studio finishing the recordings, with release planned for early 2008.

I have never heard high-tech and low-tech combined to form such great "gotta-keep-listening-music"!
The nostalgic, and new tones, are mixed to perfection! This stuff deserves to be played through a billion watt system!

Hi enjoyed listening to the tracks. The "Rainin" number in particular. Bit of a Julie Driscoll Cosmic Silk Project sound going on. Good stuff, guys.

Well I just traveled to Minneapolis for the new job.. and now I'm back in Wisconsin at another office for more "orientation". Winter chill here. I knew I should have brought that sandwich in from my car! Anyway, it worked out just fine. I had myself a toasty hot breakfast sandwich 3 hours later with no need to electrocute myself. :)

That is very true about bad comments. One thing I can tell you I had a really bad experience dealing with a local recording studio. I went and certified all of my music I had completed before I brought it in and it was a good thing I did. I had a falling out with the owner he wanted me to write songs for artist he signed on which was fine. I wanted a contract and to be paid for the work completed. All I asked for was to be paid fair for the hours and hard work I put in at my home studio. When I brought in new material all he had to do was dump it on his digital audio tape everything else was finished except vocals. He said no, so I erased all of my material he dumped on to the DATs. I collected all of my raw cd's too. I realized he took several cd's out of my case and tried to copyright the material. I hauled a$$ up to the studio with my certified mail in hand and told him to give me my material and if he tried to use it with out permission I would sue. If I would not have certified it he could have stole the rights to my music. Even though that was a bad experience I learned a lot from it.
