Centipede was a nickname I got when I was about 13, a bit before I started doin my music. I got the name from a scar on the side of my arm, once everyone saw it, thats what people called me, though the name really doesn't have anything to do with music...
Anyway, my real name is Austin Carter, I was born and raised in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I've always loved music all my life, no matter what genre it was(except country, even though I had to listen to that the most).
It all started back in the summer of 05(when I was 16). My stepfather was going through some old programs he had but never used for his computer, and he came across a program called Magix Music And Video Maker Generation 6. I thought it was a game, so for awhile I just played around with it, making little 'beats' with the loops it came with, because the program didn't have any synths. Then I found out how to actually sample songs, so I found out I was really making music. I put together my first cd(which hopefully will never see the light of day again, lol), and passed it out to all my friends(about 5 people). It wasn't the best, but I definitely loved doing it. About 4 personal cds later, here I am now....
I'm 18 now, I now use FL 7(I still use Magix Music Maker 6), and my own keyboard and turntable, with my knowledge of music way beyond what it used to be. I have found so many people who love my music, the only thing I wanna do is find more.....
And maybe make a few bucks sellin some beats would be cool too....
TO DO LIST(no specific order):
Do an album of cover songs(jazz-ish)
Sell at least one beat to an emcee(not a rapper, there's a difference)
Finally master the keyboard/piano
Do a song with my friends and/or little brother
Get on the top 10(or at least top 100) of Cyqo.com
Take a new picture when I get a new battery for my camera
Finish Broken Records 2, with my cousin's cover art
