Carl has been writing music for years, taking the world that revolves around him and putting it to words. A lot of his music is kind of the standard protocol of songwriting such as love gained, love lost, depression and life.
The Beatles and Oasis are the main influences in Carl's music " as Noel Gallagher said " (in reference to him borrowing from the Beatles) " if you are going to pinch, you might as well pinch from the best" "I do believe that" Carl says " it's not like I don't have an original Idea in my head, I just like that sound." "I do try to write from the hip, meaning that I try not to think the songs out too much, they are what they are".
Taking on the daunting task of writing, recording and producing each song has been the biggest challenge Carl faces " every day is a learning journey" not having an education in music or even recording, Carl hits this task head on. " It doesn't scare me, the not knowing, it invites me in, I always say -Life is based on logic- and I can think anything out, my other creed is- I will cross that bridge when I get to it-, so I don't worry about what I don't know, I will eventually get it!".

Singer/Songwriter Carl Elizondo brings experience to his craft. Indulging in writing, playing, producing & recording, all created by Carl at his Soundesign Studio located in Sparks, near Reno Nevada. Carl has many influences some being of course The Beatles,Oasis, Kasabian, India Influences mixed with the 60's psychedelia and world music percussion and most of all a good pint of ale. Guess he could jump on every new music fad out there, but chooses not to. Carl has played in many bands, had albums out & toured but was always feeling like a follower, not getting his ideas across, so he decided to do it all himself.Raw emotion is at the core of Carl's heart. Along with playing drums, guitar, keys, bass & vocals Carl is a B&W photographer & oil on canvas artist, and a bit psychotic..... a true Warrior Poet !

Further exploring his dreams and nightmares, Carl Elizondo takes on new challenges with The Tomes Of Lore, the sophomore effort from this new & exciting songwriter.
Bobby Coloini, an independent music reviewer raves "Carl turns in a solid performance, there's growth since his debut solo album The Crystal & The Cross, and the writing is exceptional!" This album still has traces of Lennon, McCartney and the Gallaghers with the Carl's spin on it. This 15 track album has experiences that range from the sublime to the out & out rockers that tell stories of the hard life as in " The Dole Queue". Written are past articles of Carl living in a music studio on the dirty streets of Hollywood Ca., a building without a roof, and "if your feet slipped off of the dirty sofa at night, rats would nibble on your toes!"
Carl bares his soul and invites you to take a glimpse into his mind, and shares some of the thoughts that play random parts in his musical profile.
Included in The Tomes Of Lore collection are four little snippets that really come from left field that need to be heard to be understood, along with the upcoming single releases, The English Rain, I Don't Know and The Dole Queue.
