About 5 Star Heroes
The boys of 5 Star Heroes are pumping out music so upbeat and so catchy you’ll be making plenty of room for them on your ipod. The pop punk 4-piece band is comprised of bassist Chris, guitarists Nick and Kyle and drummer Bobby, each member offering listeners not only great music but a goofy sense of humor to boot.
The band was born in March 2006 in Long Island, New York where all the members went to high school together. Reminiscent of Blink 182 and New Found Glory, 5 Star Heroes have a fast-paced, happy sound anyone can enjoy. The group’s lyrics tend to be positive and uplifting, steering clear of the mainstream angry/emo sound. Their music is jam packed with lots of guitar and tons of pounding drums, making it easy to get your heartbeat racing. Since the group’s start, 5 Star Heroes has released one CD entitled While You Were Out in 2007. They have recorded a second, Don’t Be A Zero (EP), which is due out soon. 5 Star Heroes has played over 50 shows throughout New Jersey and upstate New York, alongside bands such as Patent Pending and The Fad. Their music has garnered airplay on WUSB 90.1 and WLNG 92.0.
Ready to take their music to the next level, 5 Star Heroes hope to be signed artists, tour extensively and sell tons of records. “The music we play is more than just songs on a CD, it is us. We wrote it, felt it and enjoyed it. We want that chance to tell people our story.”
